Bio

Stoll Vaughan has been a national touring artist for quite some time now, opening for artists such as John Mellecamp, John Fogerty, Journey, Def Leppard, Marty Stuart, Shooter Jennings and many others.

He represents a amazing gift for songwriting, often being compared to the Likes of Townes Van Zant or early Springsteen. Having four records to his name that have seen top ten status at Americana radio, and having received countless praises and accolades, Stoll has shown that he is the real deal.

He continues to push the boundaries and to redefine what Americana Folk music is today. “I was in a waffle house and Patsy Cline was on the jukebox and then Beyonce….The question is…. which one is more American? The answer is… Both”, Vaughan says. Having made his first two records “Hold on Thru Sleep and Dreams” and “Love Like A Mule” with producer Mike Wanchic (Mellencamp, Dylan, James McMurtry). Stoll decided to tap into the other avenues of production starting with his good friend Carl Breomel(My Morning Jacket) and then Carl Restivo (Wyclef Jean, Perry Farrel,

Rehainna). This exploration has unfolded a very unique approach to Stoll’s captivating songwriting, placing analog drum machines beside banjos and yeilded the record “The Weatherman.”  Stoll is currently on tour in support of this latest release.  For tour dates visit StollVaughan.com/main/tour.

Also, to Stoll’s credit is the music behind the critically acclaimed Interview Project, a production of the legendary filmmaker David Lynch.  This 121 part documentary series paints a fascinating picture of our culture, as a film crew travels 20,000 miles across the country interviewing ordinary Americans.  It is both a haunting and beautiful landscape of characters who are deeply rooted in the fabric of this great country.
